The current food insecurity classifications worldwide. For Day 8 of the #30DayMapChallenge, I used the Humanitarian Data Exchange to create a map based on the IPC’s food insecurity classifications. My choice of this topic was influenced by the ongoing crisis in Sudan, where over 21 million people face food insecurity and famine is prevalent in several regions. In Europe and the US, these issues are often overlooked, but no matter the circumstance, it’s important to recognize and bring attention to such significant global topics.
